Above instructions did not work for me.  I physically copied the .8bf file to my CS6 plugins folder (which was where Lum 4 .8bf file resided) AI now shows up in PS as a plugin , but does not load. ...

3. Luminar AI will not install plugins for PS and LRC

Does not install as a plugin to PS CS6.  Uninstalled, and reinstalled as an administrator, and still is not a plug in. Seems ok as freestanding app.
