    The problem is that the image files are referred to by using the unique hardware identifier of the drive they reside on. If that drive no longer exists then your library is lost...

    I would advise against anyone using the library in it's current state, especially on a Mac because if you ever change to new hardware (be it new computer, new hard drive) you will lose your library...
