In Update 1.6.2, Extensions got even better!

Now the Upscale AI and Supersharp AI Extensions have built-in Face Enhancer AI technology, which means these tools will now enhance faces and make them appear clearer and sharper in blurry or low-resolution photos.

On top of that, we’ve fixed a number of bugs so Luminar Neo works even more smoothly. Make sure to try out the improvements.

 

MacOS

Bug fixes:

 

• Smoothly use shortcuts (rotate, return to original size, fit to screen, zoom in/out) in the Luminar Neo Apple Photos Extension

• Get Preset recommendations with the For This Photo feature only for the base layer image

• Launch Luminar Neo with a catalog located on network-attached storage without receiving a “connect to server problem” alert

• Export in .jp2 format without EXIF data getting erased by Luminar Neo

Windows

Bug fixes:

• Drag and drop files to Luminar Neo’s gallery and smoothly add them to Single Image Edits

• Navigate to Extras without Tools disappearing from the Edit panel

• Open a Luminar Neo catalog with a long path without infinitely expanding the Chosen catalog window

• Switch from Edit to Preset mode and have the Presets in the For This Photo feature displayed correctly (not blinking)

  after installing this. lumimar neo will not launch at all. wont repair and have tryed a reinstall.

  I get that also after updates (most of the time), it is mainly related to the catalog ... (i had to rename it, but lose the edits in the process)
  I export the edited pictures before updating to avoid any trouble

  I upgraded ok. Had to goto control panel and click update because Luminar neo always says there’s no update. But it worked ok and seems to be stable for me. More so than 1.6

  Ty it was indeed a problem with my catalog after upgrade, I removed it from its location and created a new one, I now have functionality back.

  Hi Member!

  You can rename the catalog instead of removing it and then choosing it from the list in File > Catalog > Open..

  Still so very slow on MacBook Pro M1 Max when changing from one preset to another, or making any type of edit in RAW and JPG.

  It was indeed a problem with my catalog after upgrading, so I removed it from its location and created a new one, so I now have functionality back as it was before upgrading.
