New laptop
AnsweredFew years ago I bought one of the first Luminar versions. I liked it a lot, but it was just so ridiculously slow on my laptop that I gave up and went back to using only Lightroom (which works and worked just fine – on my old - not fancy at all- laptop!). With the new Luminar Neo and relatively positive reviews I could not resist the temptation and I purchased the Neo version. It is running (running is not the correct word- it is moving very slowly) on my old laptop (intel 5, 8GB RAM, SSD, shared graphics card).
I don’t want to give up this time, my laptop is anyway old, it is time for a new one. I’m looking at laptop with the following specifics:
intel 7, 1000SSD, 16 RAM and GTX 1650 (4GB).
According to your description is should be good to run the application optimal. However I still find a lot of complains – people using these configurations. I’m not a professional photographer so I don’t need it very fast but to wait 10 min to upload the photo is just ridiculous. I don’t want to waste money on new laptop and find out that Neo is still running very slow
Could you please give some recommendation?

Hi Brit,
The recommended specs for PCs are as follows:
Processor Intel® Core™ i7 7th generation or better, AMD Ryzen™ 7 2nd generation or better. The more CPU cores, the better.
Graphics Discrete GPU with 4GB+ of RAM
Memory 16 GB of RAM or more (the more, the better)
System Windows 10 version 1909 or higher (only 64-bit OS)
Disk space 10 GB free space with SSD as primary drive
Monitor Calibrated monitor with at least 1920×1200 resolution
Extensions rely on graphics cards more extensively now, so if you're going for a laptop, a dedicated GPU with bigger RAM is very recommended. Also, the general rule is 'the more RAM, the better'.
