Unable to install Luminar software

Hi,

I'm on a Windows 10 platform, 32GB Ram, AMD 3600x CPU with plenty of storage and I am trying to install Luminar NEO & AI paid versions but when running the executables it stops after a few seconds. No screen, no error message.

I even tried installing them as administrator.

What can I do to resolve this?

  Hi Member!

  Please try the following:

  • Turn off Windows Defender Firewall: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028544/windows-10-turn-windows-defender-firewall-on-or-off or add the app to the list of its exceptions.
  • Either turn off your anti-virus or add Luminar to its list of exclusions. Consult your anti-virus manual for help.
  • If your router has a firewall, temporarily disable it as well.

  • Try an alternative Internet connection if possible. There may be a setting on your network that blocks outgoing connections.

  I have the exact same issue using the latest installer available in the members area - on windows 11 though.
  
  Installer opens and closes right away - no error message. windows event viewer shows a .net app crash error.

  The steps above did not resolve the issue.

  Looks like a problem with the small installer (https://downloads.skylum.com/luminarneo/installer/win/LuminarNeoSetup.exe) - downloading the FULL msi installer worked fine.

  The full Installer is not the latest version. The installer is 1.4.2 (10443).

  Hi,
  
  I had the same problem not being able to install Luminar NEO.
  
  Using the links as shared by Margaret I was able to. After installation I encountered the issue of having to change a color management profile and this post helped out to solve the matter.
