Part three: Testing the new extensions and my first impression of Fokus stacking
AnsweredI have posted two practical examples of focus stacking here in the last few days:
Conclusion:
We have waited a long time for this and now the function is available in NEO. And it does its job not bad at all. But the competition in my two examples with Affinity Photo shows how to do it better. Not only more intervention options until the stack is finally saved, but also the better stack itself. NEO produces too many annoying chromatic aberrations and uses too much RAM. A problem that has been criticized for years, many photographers have already reported this, but so far Luminar squanders the RAM as if there were no tomorrow. In so far this extension leaves mixed feelings. In the possible choice I still prefer to Affinity Photo, as long as the stack in NEO has so many shortcomings.
