Part four: Testing the new extensions and my first impression of Background removal AI

This tool is hidden under the layer properties. It works simple, quite fast and quite accurate. The postprocessing of the mask is easy. There is not much to say here, except that it recognizes "the main subject" quite well, other things less well. But this is ultimately the supreme discipline and other software such as Adobe do not even get this as good as this NEO Extension. Here you are on a very good way.

Nevertheless, there are some necessary improvements here, concerning the edge detection and the brush tool. This is because intelligent edge detection does not exist in NEO. The brush just paints and it is tedious to refine the selection with a painting brush. The competition has been ahead of this for years (!). Even without AI, Affinity Photo or Photoshop establish this worlds better. And the new AI based selection brush in Topaz Photo AI is just awesome. NEO needs something like that everywhere a brush is used.

Conclusion: Not perfect, but already on the way there. The winner of the four new extensions.
