Annoying behavior of luminar neo
AnsweredEverytime I move a slider to adjust a given parameter, the image becomes blurry, like it has been strongly downsized in resolution. This behavior prevents from seeing the real effect of the slider movements on the image. When I release the slider the image retrieves its original aspect and becomes sharp.
I suspect a volontary behavior to to accelerate the timeresponse of the software. However downsizing the resolution when adjusting the parameters is not the right solution as this doesn't allow to see the real effect of the adjustment until we release the slider. So I found myself moving the slider a small moment and then release to see the effect then move again end release etc. I'm not sure that helps to increase the workflow speed.
I hope that the developers will hear our remarks and try to correct them, because till now I don't see any response from the developers to all our requests.
BTW this "wrong behavior" has been pointed several months ago.

Hi Jean,
Usually, the performance depends on the number of photos you have in your catalog, their format (it can take a bit more time to load RAW or TIFF files), your hardware configuration, and the place where you store your photos (it works faster when the photos are located on an internal drive).
Nevertheless, we are constantly improving the speed of the app to provide our artists with the best quality. In fact, it's one of our top priorities at the moment.
Could you please let us know the following:
- How many images are there in your Library? Please send us a screenshot of your Catalog file structure as in the example:
Please make sure we can see the total number of photos added and all the folders.
- Where are they located (on an internal or external drive)?
- What's the format and size of files you're working with?
Could you please let us know your hardware configuration?
-
Press the Windows logo key + R.
-
Type msinfo32 in the dialog box that opens and hit Enter on your keyboard.
-
In the window that opens, make sure you have System Summary highlighted on the left.
-
Click File > Export.
-
Type the file's name (you can choose any you like), save it somewhere where you can easily find it, and attach this text file to your email at https://skylum.com/support
