Faulty tools…
AnsweredDear Skylum Team,
it is noticeable that you keep releasing new features without providing full functionality. Many tools work incorrectly. The impression is that the tools have 80% of their function. But then these tools are not further developed and raised to 100% functionality.
Examples:
Removing power cables usually does not work. Remnants of cables remain in the image, parts of the image are destroyed, etc. These malfunctions are present in every Luminar version since the release. So the tool is not developed further....why???
Next example is the masking function. Well, this is certainly the master liga of AI recognition and no software really masters this really well. But what Luminar does there partly is very strange. The sky detection works well, but the sky (as well as other objects) are not masked cleanly. In the sky replacement tool you have a tool where the masking works very accurately. Why not with the masking function?
Next example: blurring portrait backgrounds does not work satisfactorily. The subjects are generally not masked cleanly enough. Also, a linear blur filter is missing here.
Next example: where are the blend modes in the different maskings? This is an essential feature that is simply missing.
This list can be continued here for quite a long time. In pretty much all tools are malfunctions, the full functionality is missing and you do not develop these tools further...? But you should definitely do that.
Instead of releasing new tools in 2023, please bring all their tools to full functionality.
