Question to Developers or Support
AnsweredHi guys,
yesterday I got Neo extension pack and installed Noiseless AI. The output is indeed superior to legacy noise reduction, but I ran into performance issues.
Noisless AI takes 4-5 minutes to process a 26MP file - not usable in real-time workflow. Speaking of which, DXO does not make people wait like Luminar (prime denoise is confined within a small preview area, until the final export).
So, it seems that my computer needs an upgrade - and the question is what kind of upgrade would reduce time down to a few seconds? Your officially recommended minimal HW spec seems inferior to my current configuration.
So here is the question #1: if I spend the same kind of money, would I get better performance from Mac with M1/M2 chip (might be true if Luminar runs natively on Apple silicone), or from PC with Nvidia 3070/3080. I currently use PC but don't mind switching platforms, as long as Mac would process stuff faster than a PC.
Question #2, what kind of HW (processor - how many cores?, graphics card, memory) do you recommend to run AI plugins in real time (and to reduce the processing down to a couple of seconds)?
- Thanks

Before upgrading, could you kindly send us your current hardware configuration first? We'd like to offer you some steps that might improve the performance.
- Press the Windows logo key + R.
- Type msinfo32 in the dialog box that opens and hit Enter on your keyboard.
- In the window that opens, make sure you have System Summary highlighted on the left.
- Click File > Export.
- Type the file's name (you can choose any you like), save it somewhere where you can easily find it, and attach this text file to your support request via https://skylum.com/support.
N.B. The links are clickable and show the screenshots that can guide you, if necessary.
