New Sharpen AI extension coming in November

As suspected, Skylum brings an AI sharpening tool as another extension. The tool is supposed to compensate for motion blur and misfocus. And what about normal sharpening? I'm curious.

  Dear Member,

  You can access Sharpening tool in Luminar Neo at Develop/Develop RAW > Sharpness.

  

  You can also set the additional Sharpening level during the export.

  Hi Margaret,

  thanks for the info. But that's not what I meant. The question is, how will AI Sharpen handle an image that has no motion blur or misfocus. Will the new tool be able to sharpen as well?

  Hi,

  Please note that the Supersharp extension was designed in a way to specifically fix motion blur or misfocus, therefore, it is not a regerular Sharpness slider. In regards to the ability of sharpen the image, I am afraid, I can't answer this questions right now, as the extension is not our yet. Hope for your understanding.
