Neo update to 1.4.0 - Develop darkens the images & performance very slow

After updating to Neo 1.4.0 - i m experiencing some issues, the develop tool darkens the image if the exposure or any slider is moved. This happens after i export the changes the first time n try to re-edit again. 

The performance sucks - very slow, its really very frustrating when u have a lot of images to edit n submit. Kindly advice to improve performance also
