Here’s the scenario:
Open an image in Photoshop. Do any layer work needed. Put all the layers in a Smart Object and then invoke Luminar AI as a Smart Filter. Do any desired work in Luminar AI and Apply the settings. Luminar AI is applied as a Smart Filter. So far, so good. If I want to edit any of the Luminar AI Smart Filter Settings, double click the filter and all the settings are still there from the first edit. Great. Just like it is supposed to work.
Now…. Open another image in Photoshop (don’t quit Photoshop, just open another image). Do any layer work needed. Put all the layers in a Smart Object and then invoke Luminar AI as a Smart Filter. The problem is the settings that I applied to the prior image are being applied to the second image. They should NOT be applied. They are completely different images.
If you quit Photoshop between editing the first image and the second image then the settings are not carried forward.
This is clearly a bug that needs to be addressed.
Environment: Mac OS Big Sur, or Mac OS Monterey. (Behaves the same on two different machines). Photoshop, the latest subscribed version from Adobe. Latest version of Luminar AI installed.
