HDR Merge not working at all

I have installed HDR Merge on  my Windows PC and today I have tried to create an HDR image. I tried first of all with nine images and dragged them successfully into the HDR Merge panel. Clicked on the Merge button and the wheel started turning. However no image was produced when the wheel stopped turning and no new "HDR Merge" Folder was created.

I thought I may have overdone it with nine images so tried again with three images. They loaded fine and the program appeared to be trying to create an image but the same result ensued - No HDR image and no HDR Merge Folder.

This is very frustrating, I'd appreciate some assistance.

  Hi Brian, 

  Please verify that you have an admin account: https://oit.ncsu.edu/it-security/antivirus/how-to-tell-if-you-are-an-administrator/ 

  If you are not, please make your Windows user the admin or create a new user with administrator rights:

  Launch Luminar Neo on the admin user and check if the issue with HDR Merge persists.

  Hi Margaret,

  I've checked using your suggestions and I'm the only User/Administrator for my PC.

  I've just opened up Neo and had another attempt with three photos - still no final image or HDR Merge folder.

   

  Do you think uninstalling and re-installing Neo would make a difference?

  I've fixed the issue - security settings were preventing communication with Neo. 

  I've allowed access for communications between my PC and Luminar.

  Hi Patrick Schmidt,

  Kindly ensure that the app is allowed through the Ransomware protection on Windows:

  https://www.windowscentral.com/how-allow-blocked-apps-ransomware-protection-windows-10-october-2018-update

  Also, do you have any antivirus installed? If so, please temporarily disable it or add Luminar Neo to the list of the exceptions, and then try to merge the photos one more time.

  found the Option Ransomeware Protection in my AVAST Anti Vir Programm.

  Allowed Luminar Neo and Hrd Merge works now.

  Same issue as above.   Finally resolved it by right-clicking the app icon and choosing run as administrator.   Only then did the HDR merge function properly process the image and create a HDR folder.    Apparently, it is not enough to be an administrator on your own computer you MUST also choose to run the LuminarNeo AS THE administrator by right-clicking on the app when you are launching it.
