HDR Merge - can i change the output folder?
AnsweredTo me it makes no sense to have the HDR photo placed in a folder that's entirely outside my existing folder structure. It also makes no sense that merged photos from different folders would all get dumped into the same folder.
Ideally, for me, the merged photo should show up in a subfolder of where the source photos are. Better yet - there should be a setting where we can choose where the photo goes. And we shouldn't have to set a specific folder for every merge operation. i.e. we should be able to just say put in an 'HDR' folder which is a subfolder of whatever folder the original photos are in. Or if someone wants, they can set it to one specific folder like it defaults to now.
What is REALLY frustrating about this particular issue is it's very similar to an issue in aurora that was never fixed.

Couldn't agree with you more! If there is a default HDR Folder it should be in the same folder as the original photos being selected for HDR Merge (Like Lightroom)
I work within Dropbox and on multiple computers so defaulting to the computers pictures folder makes for unnecessary steps to make my computers sync up between locations. (IE moving photos from local to cloud folder post-merge)

Gregory Sidelnik I wouldn't count on them fixing this. This is basically the same problem in aurora that they haven't fixed for YEARS and also just kept saying they'll pass it along and fix it eventually.
What makes this extremely frustrating is this type of fix is super basic. It would literally take them a few lines of code to fix this. And it's such an obvious fix, i don't understand why they refuse to fix it.
