    Hello to all,
I saw in a tutorial of a French-speaking site that keys [Ctrl] [Z] don't not work with Neo 1.1 and that the "celestial objects" tool does not exist anymore.
    Is it true?

    Hello Francis,

Indeed, the Undo&Redo functionality has not been implemented into Luminar Neo yet. However, it will be added in one of the future updates.

Would you be so kind as to specify if you are referring to the Augmented Sky as "celestial objects"?

Hello Austin and thank you for your response about the undo/redo function..

When I talk about "celestial objects", I am indeed referring to the "Augmented Sky".

Thank you for the courage of your team who work in very difficult conditions.

    Hi Francis Monzée,

    Thank you for the clarification.

Indeed, Luminar Neo does not have the Augmented Sky AI tool. Still, you can add the sky objects as a layer in the following way:

    • In Luminar Neo's top bar menu click on the Edit tab.
    • Click on the + button in the Layers menu in the left panel.
    • After clicking on the + button, you'll be able to choose either from a number of default overlays or pick your own one:
    • Click on Load Images (on macOS) or + (on Windows) and select the necessary file.
    • It will appear among "My images". Click on it to apply.
    • To adjust the added object, open the Layer Properties menu in the Tools panel, see the screenshot below.
You can resize the object, change its opacity, and blend mode, please see the screenshot: https://prnt.sc/kkKKD8WYyGGM

To delete the unnecessary file from the list, right-click it in the "My Images" menu and choose "Remove": https://prnt.sc/p8iqBdrgS84V

Thank you for your quick response, Anastasiia.
For now, I am researching before buying Neo.

May I ask you another question?

I suppose that if we do it the way you describe, we will have to treat the object that we place on a new layer in such a way that it appears as if it is behind an element of the initial image. Example: make a planet appear behind a building.

    Francis Monzée,

Please, note that in that case the object will display in front of the objects on the photo.

I have people in my photo (and probably I would like other objects as well) that does not work with Portrait Background Removal.

How can I do this removal for anything that is non-portrait?

    Hi Mark,

Portrait Background Removal AI works only with images where there are people.

If they aren't detected by the tool, please send the original image file to our support team at https://skylum.com/support We'll test it on our end and pass it to our tech team.

Here's how you can send us the file:

    1. Visit https://wetransfer.com/
    2. If it's your first time visiting this website, it might ask you to purchase a subscription. Simply select to proceed with the free version.
    3. Click Add your files.
    4. Select the file(s) on your computer.
    5. After you see all the files you need to send appear in the list, click the icon to the left of the Transfer button (the icon looks like a circle with three dots in it).
    6. In Send As select Link.
    7. Click Transfer.
    8. After the files have finished uploading, click Copy Link and paste it into your support request at https://skylum.com/support

As for the background removal in non-portrait shots, our upcoming universal background removal extension will be able to achieve it. You can learn more here: https://skylum.com/luminar/2022-extensions
