Import a Catalog from Laptop to Desktop PC
CompletedHi, I had Luminar AI in my MacBook and now want to use it in my MacMini.
Since I have all pictures on external drives, the container folders remain consistent.
How can I import then the Existing catalog to have all almost 1:1?

Hi Kate,
Thanks it worked, but after some "workaround".
I did it many time this way but could not succeed till I figured out that what I did was to move the original catalog (the one Luminar creates when you install) to a temp folder and copied "my one" to the "Picutres Folder".
Luminar did not recognized this one becasue even when I moved to original one, he knew the new location and I could not reasign the new one.
So, once I deleted completely the original empty catalog and started luminar, he asked me which one to use and then I asigned my catalog at the Pictures Folder.
So a bit messi but now it works.
Thanks in any case!

Hi Daniel,
You can just copy the entire Luminar Catalog folder (by default, it's located in the Pictures folder) to a new computer which will take all of your edits to the new machine. If your photos are stored on the external drives, the catalog should be able to detect that external drive on your new computer, and you'll be able to pick up where you left off.
