Sort order of files in the thmbnail view

it seems that the thumbnails are always sorted by time of shoot. If I change the sort order in a folder, then when I leave the folder, the sort order returns to time of shoot (Heure de capture in french).

  the added problem with this is that the edited versions are changed in the order as well..... frustrating.
