Topaz Plug ins?
AnsweredSo far I am loving Luminar NEO. Before NEO was released, I had been using Luminar 4 mostly, along with AI for the things it does better than 4. One thing very useful in Luminar 4 is that I can use Topaz Denoise and Sharpen AI as plug ins. Is this feature going to be added, or am I just missing how to do it?

Hi guys!
The use of Photoshop-style plugins is currently not available in Luminar Neo. However, we clearly understand the popularity of this request and are actively exploring its implementation. Our brand-new Luminar Neo engine and layers workflow mean that support is possible. This will pave the way for smoother integrations with other specialized plugins.

Hi Todd,
Not yet, but I will forward your request to the team.

The ability to use independent plug-ins/extensions really is needed to make your Luminar Neo useful for most people. Luminar Neo is a good try but the ability to use plug-ins makes Paintshop Pro's access to plug-ins a better deal because plug-in makers like Topaz, Perfectly Clear, Eye Candy, etc. specialize in limited fields rather than also supporting a full platform like you and Paintshop.

I would alos like to give my vote her for the possibility to use Topaz as Plugin with Luminar Neo.
I´ve also bought Luminar Sharpen and Noiseless AI, but Topaz Photo AI gives better results.
But Luminar Neo is excellent for the proceeding Raw-Development
Since Luminar also supports Layers (as Luminar 4) it would be great to have the possibility to Use Topaz as a plug-In.
Any news on this topic like an aimed delivery month? -
Hi Michael,
We have no ETA for such an update yet. Therefore, you can only export the processed photo from Luminar Neo and then re-upload it to Topaz's standalone mode.

Hmm, just upgraded from Luminar 4 to Neo simply because topaz photo ai plugin crashes luminar 4. denoise and sharpen still work fine. I was kind of annoyed to see that there was NO implementation of this at all! I might ask for a refund, as i was quite happy with luminar 4 up to this point. I now have less in a more modern software package. NOT HAPPY

I'm with you Steve. I'm reevaluating Lightroom even though I hate the subscription service at least my plugins will work and the update path with skylum products could just as well be a subscription service. Very fortunate because I really like my workflow in luminar 4. But it seems there's no other path forward on several fronts.

Apart from a few extra gimmicks, its not really a lot different from luminar 4. and it seems to slow down my computer more. Ill work with it for a few days to see if its worth it. Very disappointed about the lack of plugin support. Hopefully they can put that to the top of the pile.. I moved away from Lightroom because of the subscription model and didn't miss it one bit with luminar 4. Like most people, I am a hobbyist, and don't want to pay out monthly for software. Its a different story for professional photographers obviously. Lets see..
