Soft Previews in Cache
AnswerediMac 5K 27 inch (2019) 3 GHz i5 24GB Ram SSD Mojave Radeon Pro 570X 4 GB
After a clean install by wiping out anything that was previously on my mac, I will say first that this is the first time Sample Images actually work. Previously, the Sample Images were in the Catalog, but would never Edit. Oh, you clicked on them and went to Edit but then they would disappear. That said, I see new problems. The first being if one Edits a Sample Image, there are a few things to note:
1. After a few Edits and going into the Edits modular, the Discard Edits button has zero effect and doesn't seem to work. I have to Undo Edits and then Trash Edits to remove any edits.
2. If one removes all edits and goes back to Catalog, the Preview is soft and out of focus. Changing the Preview Size from Small to Medium to Large does not change that on Preview and it stays blurred. It will also show it was once edited, thought you discarded all Edits so it not only shows a soft preview but will not resort back to an unedited image.
The soft previews are concerning. Here is where you can see the edits icon remaining on the image and then I selected another image in hopes the Preview image would return to original and be sharp, not soft.
[ I also wish when Posting we could see a Preview of our post prior to Submit. Once one uploads an image, you have to go back into things already typed and cannot start at the end of last paragraph to continue typing after uploading an image. Just so y'all know.]

Hello Randal,
I'm sorry for the issue you encountered with previews. We would kindly ask you to try the following steps to regenerate them:
- Make sure Luminar Neo is closed.
- Locate your Luminar Neo Catalog folder. The default location is %username%\Pictures\. If you specified a custom location for your catalog, search your custom location.
- Rename the Luminar Neo Catalog folder as well as the Luminar Neo Catalog.luminarneo file inside this folder. Choose any name you like.
- Open Finder.
- Navigate to Applications > Utilities.
- Launch Terminal.
- Paste the following string into the Terminal window: defaults delete com.skylum.luminarneo
- Press Enter on your keyboard.
- Close Terminal.
- Launch Luminar Neo. Go through the initial setup. Leave the location of the catalog at the default (in the Pictures folder).
Note that you will end up with a new catalog. To open the original one, select File > Catalog > Open.

Did as instructed. But once I tabbed from Catalog to Edits and made a few edits on a sample image, the problem returned. The images now in Catalog are again soft, but the image I made edits to is blurry.
You can see the model is soft, as is the people in the water, and the buildings which is the image I made edits to, is blurry. Going into full screen and out did not matter.iMac 5K 27 inch (2019) 3 GHz i5 24GB Ram SSD Mojave Radeon Pro 570X 4 GB
The best way to see it is on a fairly sizable monitor like my 27" and right click on this image and Open in New Tab.

Alina, I did as requested and sent to Support a link to a folder of screen recordings and screenshot images. Then I created a new Catalog inside Neo for Single Edits and brought in one image. Have not even edited the image and just the preview will show how blurry things are. Bummer.
