    Hi Charles,

As Roy has mentioned, this tool will be available in the upcoming Luminar Neo updates. You’ll also be able to enjoy such features as:

    • Mask AI — smart AI-based masking that detects specific elements in your image
    • Portrait Background Removal AI — smart AI-based removal of the background behind a portrait without manual masking
    • Histogram
    • Clone & Stamp
    • Dodge & Burn
    • Syncing adjustments
    • Image 3D Transform
    • Creating your own Preset and marking Presets as favorites
    • The ability to use Luminar Neo as a Smart Object in Photoshop
    • Undo and Redo
    • More Hotkeys
    • More functionality when using Masking (Copy/Paste, Pen Pressure for Radius/Opacity, and Linear/Radial gradient)

It appears these features were offered to raise development funds to create the program. Obviously it's much harder to create them than to promise them.

@Katherine Thanks for the update. I look forward to all of the features you mentioned. I'm sure there will be more features and refinements in additional updates beyond Version 1.1. As a new user to Luminar, I don't necessarily mind the incremental roll out. Gives me a chance to incrementally learn the program. Best of luck to everyone on the Skylum Team working hard to get these updates out in the middle of a bloody war. I commend you all.

    Hi Erzsebet Varga,

I'm afraid this tool was not delivered yet. It will be available in one of the future updates. In update 1.0.6, we presented our new tool Mask AI and added the Histogram.

    I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes! I hope that update is soon. Dodge & Burn and Clone are much needed, but all those additional features are much appreciated and anticipated. Now we just need Neo available on iPad.

    Hi Joshua,

While Skylum only offers software for Mac and PC, we know tablet/mobile technology is the easiest way for customers to deliver exceptional quality everywhere. We don't have any immediate intentions for the iPad version right now, but we could consider this for future development.

Luminar Neo - Clone & Stamp Tool

When is this coming out? It is so important to have it as soon as possible to complete some jobs. Just for this I need to jump into Photoshop all the time to get something cloned. Not something that makes for a smooth work flow.

    Thanks

    Nevil

I hate to be negative but I have to agree with everyone on this topic stream. The clone stamp is essential to proper photo retouching. I'm curious about why this very important tool/function was not included in the rollout of this otherwise great software. Mind you . . . I have Skylum's predecessor to Neo which DOES have the clone tool. I would have waited to make the purchase because the lack of the clone tool keeps me in Luminar AI, Photoshop, or Affinity Photo. To be honest. . . .I'm not really sure how Neo is better than Luminar AI and feel i may have wasted my money since I bought the program before it was released.

I have been a user of Macphun and skylum products (well, the versions of their software that were actually usable) since before the first Aurora was released.

I would rather support a small company than big names, but it is 4 months since the promise of a clone tool which is a basic essential of any image editor. Put the basics in place before adding the fancy stuff!!!!!

I don't understand Neo. it is far less accomplished and has far less functionality than Luminar AI and is not really a viable application - it is essentially an early beta product that we pay for (they finally added some controls to the masking at least). Skylum (and Macphun) seem to have a business model where they release incomplete products and expect users to pay for them. Take Luminar for example, it was not really a completed product that was ready for market in my opinion until version 4 (that is v4 with later upgrade to add a catalogue). I personally still only use Luminar as a adobe plugin as AI still needed work on the basics and Neo is a massive step back in functionality from AI and not an application i have used since i first purchased it pre-release.

To be honest, i am pretty fed up with purchasing a product then waiting 6-12 months before it has the basic functionality i expected from the release date

    Hi All,

We are sorry to hear that you have such reflections.

Take into account that Luminar Neo is a quintessence of all our applications released to date. We’ve built a powerful module-based engine that provides an overall better performance and convenience.

The program is currently in the development stage. Moreover, the circumstances in Ukraine influence the processes. However, our specialists try to contribute to the comprehensively optimized workflow as intensively/rapidly as possible. Your patience is highly appreciated.

Here, it is possible to become better acquainted with the software and compare different aspects:

I agree. The patrons who purchase Luminar products have spoken. They want and expect the basics of editing software products. The clone and stamp, plus the dodge and burn are tools that should take priority over the little tweaks and add-ons that have been in recent updates.

That being said, we all can imagine the horrors and uncertainy that the people of Ukraine are feeling right now, and we will be patient with Skylum and are grateful for any update that comes our way.

    Be safe, and stay strong.

    Hi Robert Stenseth,

First and foremost, thank you so much for your kind words and support!

The Clone&Stamp and Dodge&Burn tools will be available in future application updates. We understand that these tools are highly required among our users, and our Skylum team is doing their best to deliver them as soon as possible.

    Thank you for your patience!

Please Skylum, we need the Clone&Stamp and the Dodge&Burn tools urgently. I started to use Luminar since Luminar 4 and never mentioned any complain, even when there were some. The concept of Luminar Neo is good but it is nearly useless as a goto photo editor without the Clone&Stamp and the Dodge&Burn tools. It is not sufficient to say that it will be available in future updates. We need it now, not somewhere in the future.

I am still loyal to Skylum, but please you are making it very difficult for your loyal supporters.

I agree the need is urgent. I use it quite a lot  to "clone paint" to remove objects ot to carry out image modification. I use it  in preference to the erase tool as I choose the replacement pixels.

Ivan Azure : "The program is currently in the development stage."

How is the product in the development stage but you released the program long time ago? Also if " Luminar Neo is a quintessence of all our applications released to date" how is it possible that such a basic tool as Clone is not included?

How long are you planing not to keep your word?

Lucian Anuta You can find the clone tool under the "Professional" tools all the way at the bottom. Assuming, of course, that you have update your copy of Neo to the latest version.
