Luminar Neo - Vignette after crop bug?
AnsweredIn Luminar Neo 0.9.2, after applying a crop, using the "Vignette" tool does not apply to the cropped image. Instead, it appears to apply the Vignette to the original (uncropped) image and can only be seen on the part of the image that's cropped. (i.e. If you were to crop the image to the upper right quadrant, applying a vignette would only show on the top and right side instead of around the entire cropped image). I have tried this on a few images with repeatable results. Using "Choose subject" and selecting the center of the cropped image doesn't center the vignette either.

Hi Scott,
We need to be able to reproduce the issue on our end in order to understand at which point it occurs and troubleshoot it. Please send us a screen recording of the issue.
You can use Monosnap to record your screen: https://monosnap.com/welcomeHere's how you can send us the file with the recording:
- Visit https://wetransfer.com/
- If it's your first time visiting this website, it might ask you to purchase a subscription. Simply select to proceed with the free version.
- Click Add your files.
- Select the file(s) on your computer.
- After you see all the files you need to send appear in the list, click the icon to the left of the Transfer button (the icon looks like a circle with three dots in it).
- In Send As select Link.
- Click Transfer.
- After the files have finished uploading, click Copy Link and paste it into your support request at https://skylum.com/support

Hi Folks,
That´s really happening. After cropping an image, the vignette tool still centered on the original image, i.e., it is offset / uncentered on the cropped image.
It is pretty simple to reproduce. Just crop any image and apply Vignette.
See the attached pictures.
I'm using version 1.0.1. -
Hi Marcello,
Thank you so much for the report!
We have created a task to fix the issue. However, we do not expect to get it fixed in the upcoming updates since the issue is related to the way Luminar Neo's core engine is built. Therefore, in order to implement a fix, some fundamental changes will have to be implemented, and this might take some time. We will do our best to prepare the fix as soon as possible.

Hi Pieter Delbeke!
I'm afraid there are no updates in this regard, but I've passed your concern on to the team.

This is a painful bug to live with. The only work-arounds I see are (1) either to save a tiff file of the edited and cropped image, then edit the saved image with the vignette tool. Or, (2) create a "vignette using the radial mask on a develop tool with exposure cut back (not the same, though).
Yet another example of your developers being so focused on new features that they did not implement a basic and valued capability of Luminar 4 (etc). Please consider raising its priority for a fix.
