How to activate Luminar Neo in France (may bee in Europe)

I had some troubles trying to activate Neo in France. I just received a message saying that no internet connection is available and not the activation window. I tried a lot of things (safe mode and any other trick) but the only working is to use a VPN with a server in the States. And miracle I saw the activation windows...

Hello Bernard,
Your anti-virus software and firewall may be the issue. Please try the following:
- Turn off Windows Defender Firewall: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028544/windows-10-turn-windows-defender-firewall-on-or-off or add the app to the list of its exceptions.
- Either turn off your anti-virus or add Luminar to its list of exclusions. Consult your anti-virus manual for help.
- If your router has a firewall, temporarily disable it as well.
If the solution above doesn't work, please send us your Hosts file for review. The file is located here:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\

Hi Austin,
Of course, the first thing I tried was to stop the firewall and the defender, no way, then I gave administrator rights to the software, no way, then I restarted windows in safe mode, no way: always the windows after ten seconds saying that there is no internet connection.
But, even with firewall and defender activated, a VPN connected to the US made the job...
There is no additional lines in the host file except the original comments...
I just want to share this fact because it can eventually help another guy...
