Not finding/validating LRC to install plugin
AnsweredWindows 10
So when i go to install LuminarAI during the install there's the option to install the LR and PS plugins, which are greyed out. If i click the browser button, file explorer opens in the Program Files folder. It appears as though it wants me to find the LR exe file. But there aren't any instructions to make this clear. And it does not validate the exe file since i can select ANY exe files from any program and it doesn't throw up any sort of error.
Typically when installing plugins you have to go into modules folder to install them, which is buried inside the user\appdata folder. So might be a good idea on the installation screen to specifically state that you want the LR exe file. I'm not sure why the program doesn't just automatically find the exe file since its installed in adobe's default location.

Hi Ian,
Please try installing the plugins manually.
For Lightroom:
- Make sure LuminarAI and Lightroom are closed.
- Download the plugin file from here (click Download in the upper right): https://www.dropbox.com/s/h6ed7jeuuuvhx03/LuminarAIExport.lrplugin.zip?dl=0
- Right-click the .zip you've downloaded > click Extract All. When prompted to specify the destination for the extracted file, click Browse. Paste the following path into the address bar at the top of the window that opens: %appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Modules
- Click Select Folder and then click Extract.
For Photoshop:
- Make sure Photoshop is closed.
- Download the plugin from here.
- Navigate to the Photoshop Plugins folder. The default path is: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC
For Photoshop CS5 and CS6, the paths will look like this: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop version name\Plug-Ins\Filters
and C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop version name\Plug-ins - Copy the .8bf file into the folder(s) you've opened in Step 3.
If the issue persists, please get in touch with our support team at https://skylum.com/support. They will be happy to help!

I already managed to get the plugin installed. I wasn't really asking for help - just pointing out that the plugin installation option during LuminAI's install can be confusing. A little bit of text explaining you want the LR exe file, as well as validating it's the correct exe file would be a big help IMHO.
