Lost images

I just downloaded the newest Luminar AI update and lost all my previous edited photos in my catalogue, which is stored on my iMac not in an external hard drive. This makes the catalogue basically useless and a MAJOR flaw in an otherwise advanced editing software program. Others seem to have the same problem. I'm a professional photographer and simply can't afford to loose my edits. Please fix this problem as a matter of urgency! I run Big Sur 11.1, but have not upgraded my computer for a while, so that should not have had any impact.

Just came back to the forum to see if this is still going on (back in the day it happened to me 3 times before I gave up and went elsewhere (3 times is enemy action).
And this is the first non pinned post I find.
Looks like this is still a serious problem for luminar. I'll come and check back in another 6 months or so.
