Luminar X
AnsweredI guess all this automated support is good but it can be really annoying when it doesn't have the answer. No matter which path I take I am shoved back to a robot or, now, to a forum, which I don't think will have the answer.
I am an original user - I guess an early adopter with the first version of software that eventually became Skylum. Have liked it forever but have a problem now that I can't seem to solve. I'll just use the text I sent to the robots.

Luminar AI User Manual: https://manual.skylum.com/
An AI template file will have a .ltc extension. It must first be unzipped, if zipped, to a folder location of your choice before using Luminar AI to install it.
There is a custom sky folder where you can place sky files you have purchased or you own if you have them. Sky folders can be stored anywhere so long as you remember how to navigate to them.

Hi Cathy,
Do you try to load the skies?
First of all, please unzip the downloaded pack. On Mac, simply double-click the zipped file. On Windows, right-click the .zip file to select Extract All, and then follow the instructions.
Here’s how you can upload custom skies:
- Load a picture with the sky that you want to replace in Luminar.
- In the top-bar menu, select the Edit tab.
- In the right Tools panel, scroll down to the Creative section.
- Choose Skyᴬᴵ > Sky Selection.
- In the window that opens select the upper menu with skies > find Custom in the drop-down list: https://prnt.sc/10vy7fj
- In the Custom section, click the + button: https://prnt.sc/10vy958
- A dialog window will open where you'll need to navigate to the folder with your skies and choose the one you need.
- Confirm the selection and enjoy the tool!
- Skyᴬᴵ will work with your own photos if they are in one of the following formats: JPEG, PNG, and TIFF.
If you'd like to add these skies to the default drop-down menu, click Skyᴬᴵ > Sky Selection > select upper menu with skies > Show Custom Skies (https://prnt.sc/10vybyc) > copy the skies to the folder that opens. We recommend keeping no more than 50 skies loaded at a time for better performance.
