I have been sitting on the sideline enjoying that I did not upgrade (for free) back in November 2018 since that ride seems to have been a real bumpy ride with the result of that Luminar 2018 became Luminar 3 and Flex, which I read between the lines are going to die in 2020 when the new Luminar 4 hits the circuit.
I am not saying the Skylum business model is wrong, but I really wish that they would as a minimum fix a buggy and incomplete program before switching to something new. However new sells, buggy and incomplete stuff does not!
In the meantime, there is an easier path from Lightroom to the free world, including importing Lightroom stuff that Skylum can't do, and it is called Darktable [Mac, Windows and Linux].
Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with the folks around the Darktable Project. However as a long time GIMP user I do sometimes think that Open Source beats profit driven products. I do not pick Open Source due to "Free", I so far have picked it because it simply works, and they do fix the issue without promise the moon and never deliver.
Please let me know what you think. Am I off the rocker here or are you not seeing the light?
