Accent AI 3.0 in the works?
Hello Skylum,
I still cannot use Accent AI 2.0 on any image involving sky. Why? Because at 50% strength Accent AI 2.0 still creates obvious halos in the sky where it meets the ground or trees. As such I can only use Accent AI on indoor shots or outdoor locations where no sky is visible. Bummer.
I know Luminar can recognize and soon even replace the sky. Why can Accent AI simply have an option to mask off the sky from its lighting/local contrast effects? That way these AI halo artifacts won't mess up the natural tonal progression we expect to see in blue sky.

Hi Angela,
I tried to post an image example here but whenever I click the add image icon and select my under-2MB image nothing ever loads into chat window. Oh well, I give up.
Needless to say, this sky halo effect isn't a tech support issue unique to my installation. Use any image with a continuous tone blue sky background\ of your own (RAW or TIFF) and push up the Accent AI 2.0 slider to 100 and it's as obvious as daylight. I reproduced it from RAW files with Luminar 3 as well via Luminar Flex in Photoshop on TIFF's that had been converted via Lightroom. Accent AI simply puts halos in the sky around ground objects.
No need to send in HID codes or my own images and workflow snapshots. Just load any blue sky image and report back.
