The Autumnal Equinox has occurred in the Northern Hemisphere, so it is 'Fall'. When can I expect Luminar 4? Along with CR3 support.

    Hi Marty,

Luminar 4 will be released in November. We'll share the exact date when we get a bit closer.

Hello - The AI Skin Enhancer and Portrait Enhancer sounds very promising.  Will this feature also address skin wrinkles in older adults?

    Thank you,

    Bob A.

    Hi!

Wrinkles won't be erased completely, as we would like to show people as they are, without changing them, but emphasizing their best features.

    Hi Denis,

AI Skin & Portrait Enhancer in Luminar 4 won't change people appearance crucially since, as my colleague Maryna has mentioned, we'd like to show people as they are, without making any crucial changes, but just emphasizing the best ones. That's what differes Luminar 4 from Anthropic Technology's Portrait Pro Studio, which, from what I see from the reviews and tutorials, is dedicated to more advanced appearance changes.

    Denis,

We don't actually compete with Portrait Pro or any other software, we create our own vision of photography editing. However, you will be able to apply the settings to multiple photos at once using Looks or Sync Adjustments functionality if that's what you're looking for.

These features do not work when the face is not covering most of the picture, meaning, when a full body is in the picture or a group picture. In another words, it only works in "Passport" type of portrait pictures. Really disappointing.

Before launching Luminar 4 we have conducted over 500 sessions with professional photographers from around the world.
We have asked them on what images they are most likely to use portrait retouching tools.

The photos that we've got from the vast majority of photographers (both pros and amateurs) were the images where the face itself was taking over 40% of the photo.

The algorithms that power AI Portrait tools in Luminar 4 are complex and intelligent.

We will continue to train them further to make sure it will work for customers like you in 99% of cases.
It will eventually work with the type of images that you've mentioned.
It will require another dataset of hundreds of thousands of images like that, but we will make it happen.
