Export as background process
Hi,
I am really satisfied with 3.1.3, great job.
Exporting my first images with 3.1.3 the export progress bar is not visible right now ... BUT L3 still does the exporting job. Does this mean that you changed the export process to a background process, which I would really like or did something go wrong right now?
Thanks
Erwin

Hi Erwin,
Thank you for your feedback!
I've just tested export both on Mac and PC, and the progress bar was visible for me.
Could you please send us a screen recording of how the export process works for you?
Here's how to record your screen on Mac: https://support.apple.com/guide/quicktime-player/record-your-screen-qtp97b08e666/mac
If you are on Windows, you can use Monosnap to record your screen: https://monosnap.com/welcome
Here's how you can send us the file with the recording:
- Visit https://wetransfer.com/
- If it's your first time visiting this website, it might ask you to purchase a subscription. Simply select to proceed with the free version.
- Click Add your files.
- Select the file(s) on your computer.
- After you see all the files you need to send appear in the list, click the icon to the left of the Transfer button (the icon looks like a circle with three dots in it).
- In Send As select Link.
- Click Transfer.
- After the files have finished uploading, click Copy Link and paste it to your support request at https://skylum.com/support
Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. I am sorry, but I could not reproduce this behavior anymore. Instead I have some feature requests for the export tool:
- add more information like a counter to the progress bar, so we know how far the export job has gone allready. Like exporting image 35 out of 124.
- like now it´s not clear in which order the export starts. I would prefer, the export tool would have a logic behavior picking up the images like "Date/Time original" ... like this the export would start with the "oldest" image and finisch with the "newest" image.
- Preserve the metadata and add star ratings, coulor rating, ... in the exported JPG
- AND YES: please make an option to bring the export in background. Exporting 100 images takes around one hour on my machine, where I cant do anything in Luminar and very less on my PC cause of the high CPU load.
- AND please speed up the export process.
Erwin
