I have read so many conflicting reports on the way Skylum are moving forward that it is difficult to believe anything has really changed. I hope that is not the case and it would be helpful if Skylum, preferably via its CEO, could confirm what is going on. My understanding is that despite the L4 release, L3 will continue to be developed until it is up to the standard first advertised and in line with the original road map. That is, it will have a fully functional DAM (keywording, fully functional search and albums, metadata management, a Lr migration tool etc) together with a much needed performance boost. I also understand that the now missing road map will be republished.
As for Flex, does it or does it not have a future (and I mean a real future, not just maintenance updates)? The last I read was that L4 will replace both L3 and Flex which renders the existing release of Flex a waste of time.
People need a properly formulated and cohesive response to these questions. Not, as at present, a lot of contradictory statements from seemingly confused support staff. For many, there is little point in continuing with this software unless and until a comprehensive statement of the facts is forthcoming from the company.
We all look forward to hearing from you.
