I have the latest versions of both Luminar 3 and ON1 Photo Raw 2019. I'm running Windows 10 on an Intel NUC which is 4 years old, with 16gb of RAM and onboard Intel graphics. I like features in both programs.
Almost humorously (if not so sad), both programs have been neck and neck in slowness, exchanging the dubious honor of first position in that race. Luminar is currently much faster in its latest iteration, than ON1, but that's a relative term (I write this as it has taken 6 minutes to prepare the eraser in a photo I've been editing in L3).
Knowing that my computer is weak in the graphics department, I've been thinking of building a much faster PC to help both programs speed up. Now I'm not sure if it would be a wise move, since program performance has got to be partially to blame, based on version releases that have been faster, then slower, then faster again.
