    Still unusable for me.

I work with 26MP RAW files and Luminar is so slowwwww... Lightroom is starting to miss me. Please do something ASAP!

    Recruit CPU/GPU coders!!!

After uninstalling version 3.1 manually and installing version 3.1.1 using offline installer https://community.skylum.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360046838631-Luminar-offline-installer-download  everything works fine. (I had the issue running 2 versions of Luminar at the same time by just using the offline installer without uninstalling first)

Performance is much better now! Tested on Windows 10 1903 with SSD and i7 6700 / 32GB RAM (CPU <50%, RAM about 3-4 GB)

Btw. My Looks Collection Creator also works well after the update: https://community.skylum.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360046880772-Looks-Collection-Creator-LLPC-to-create-own-look-colletions

P.S. I also tweaked "RAMCacheSizeMb" to 16384 and "SumPreviewSizeMb" to 8192 in StateSettings.xml...don´t know if it has any effect...

This works better than before for adding the single click filters.  But I started using the clone and stamp tool and the longer I am using it the slower it gets.   Then it lagged out and I had to CTRL ALT DELETE.  This happened after using the clone and stamp tool and then saved the image.  Odd enough it did save the image I exported but the program never left the screen where it says it is exporting the image.

Just being honest with you.  I am glad I purchased 2018 that works just fine.  If I had purchased luminar 3 you'd be giving me a refund, this is ridiculous.

Yeah, I contacted support.  After taking the time to detail my system specs, upload an image of one the the problems as it was occurring.  I detailed that I had just did a reformat to eliminate the possibility of having a virus or malware.  I even wrote that I was using a fresh install of the program.  The response was to tell me to uninstall and reinstall the program.   I have a hard time believing anyone actually even took the time to read my inquiry, seems more like a canned bot response.  I mean,  seriously?

Uninstall and reinstall with the Offline installer. There´s a really big change in the speed than before,
I really begun to like Luminar, if the updates will bring this big difference! Good job, seems to be on the right track now!

It may be more "usable" and "faster", but it still crashes all the time, during exporting and editing.

    Why don't you fix that?

I'm beginning to feel just like I did before I dropped On1. Promises of fixes, promises makingit work like the Mac version. Maybe I should've known better than to hope a program for Win10 done by a company that was originally only Mac could happen. I'll give it one more release. If I don't have the plugin support I need by then...well, I'll be 0 for 2.

    https://skylum.com/de/luminar/user-manual/2018/windows/saving-exporting-files

Alles klar, ich weiß was Du meinst.

Funny how everyone is negative, cause im running this on an surface pro 3 i5 8gb RAM and it runs smooth even with raw photos. loads fast with unedited photos. the edited ones takes a little while but thats to be expcted with an not so strong laptop without a GPU.

I think its great, but as someone said above, would be nice if the histogram updated in realtime as you adjust sliders! :)

    @Pasta21
Sounds suspiciously like someone who's a skylum employee. This software has loads of issues with stability and performance, as evidenced here.

There's absolutely nothing smooth about it.

    https://skylum.com/de/luminar/user-manual/2018/windows/saving-exporting-files

"Speichern einer nativen Luminar-Datei für zukünftige Bearbeitungen"

    stimmt das nicht?

    Hi,

Please note that you are referring to a Luminar 2018 user guide. Luminar 3 user guide can be found here: https://skylum.com/luminar/user-guides/chapter-1

Currently, saving project files is disabled in Luminar 3 as all your edits are stored in the Catalog. When you edit an image in Luminar, all of the filters you apply, the adjustments you make to those filters, everything you do to an image as well as your flagging, ratings are saved in .state files. Thus, you are always able to get back to an image, view its edit history and continue editing where you left off last time.

We are considering to bring back the ability to save project files but at the moment I don’t have a timeline for that.

A workaround to recall settings you used for a project would be as follows:

    1. Open a photo in L3.
    2. Edit it.
    3. In the Edit panel on the right click Save Luminar Look.
    4. Enter a descriptive name.

This won’t save layers but your filter settings will be saved. As a bonus, you’ll be able to instantly apply the settings you used for a certain project to other projects.

If you need to re-edit a photo, load an unedited copy of it in Luminar and apply the look you saved in Step 4 to it (the look will be located in the User Looks category). You'll get the exact same filters and settings that you used for this project before.

I've just installed the latest update to Lumiar 3 and now it won't run at all. I get the spash screen and the the black background of the app and then it crashes and disappears.

    Please can you advise?
