Very very high RAM usage!
AnsweredHi, I registry always a very high RAM usage, which only results from Luminar 3 then using Luminar.
I have a RAM of 32GB and Luminar 3 uses nearly the whole of it; at least around 29GB!
Often I have to restart Luminar 3, cause I can't further work or can't store pictures.
But, after around only 5-10 minutes the RAM usage is again such high.
What causes the high RAM usage of Luminar 3?
I have around 5.000 photos in the Luminar 3 catalogue. I have not increased the number
since 2 weeks. Is the number of photos too high? Are were any routines working on the
catalogue?
Is the high RAM caused by my own pictures presets? I have around 30 own presets.

Hello,
I have the same problem on my computer.
I have the impression that by browsing the folders the previews load in memory and are never unloaded. Suddenly the use of RAM increases, increases ... until the crash of Luminar.
maybe this problem only occurs with the windows version ?

Hi Achim,
We've detected a memory leak happening when you're toggling between photos in your gallery. This will be fixed in the update that's coming within a week, so I kindly invite you to try it out.
Our team will process your support request shortly in order to take a look at your particular case.

Hi again to my topic.
After update to newest Luminar 3 version I have always such very high RAM usage. And I don't toggling between the different gallery folders. I work long times in one gallery folder in order to work on photos.
There was no improvement on RAM usage. From my 32GB total RAM space, Luminar 3 always uses in average 20GB of RAM.
My photo galleries are mostly "stable/constant"...means: my number of photos don't change often.
And I use Luminar 3 for long time.
I have to reboot Luminar 3 after around 45-60 minutes new, cause exports takes too long or on one point the export freezes.
I hope, this would be latest solved with Luminar 4.
