The DAM is working reasonably well, now. Yes, it's still early days but in another couple of months I'm sure it'll be pretty good. For the money, Luminar is superb value and offers some exceptional results. Maybe, sadly, you're suffering from Small Child Syndrome.

You are totally wrong Greg Wallis!

There are no DAM at all in Luminar, its a gallery view with features you get in any 20-30 years old gallery software...

this is 2019, and Skylum have promised more than once the last 2 years that Luminar should be a full blown Lightroom replacement software... And it has not happened.

If you think the gallery view in Luminar are somewhere near to have any DAM functionality, you really do not know anything about what DAM is...

... so maybe its you that have that "Small Child Syndrom", you just have to comment on things you don't know anything about... so grow up !

Setting some stars, or a flag is not the same as DAM functionality...

DAM is not a specific, and therefore how the concept of digital asset management is implemented in software is very much a subjective one. Luminar is an image editor, and, for me at least, all the digital assets I want to see are image files. In this respect Luminar is coming on very nicely. Feel free to disagree, and, if you're a new user of less than sixty days, then I'm sure Skylum will be happy to provide a refund. There's always Capture One...

DAM is very specific, and just the fact that you can't understand that, tells me that you shouldn't comment on this issue at all, you clearly have no knowledge of aht its about.

And the fact that I wrote that Skulym promised a Lightroom replacement already in 2017, should tell you that I bought the software multiple years ago...

So pleace, next time you want to make a comment on a thread/case, read the thread BEFORE you start write.

If you want to learn what DAM is, you can find more information on this webpages:
    https://www.bynder.com/en/what-is-digital-asset-management/
    https://www.canto.com/digital-asset-management/
    https://searchcontentmanagement.techtarget.com/definition/What-is-digital-asset-management

    ...........
and what you think is "good enough" for you have no meaning in this case, because Skylum promised us a Lightroom replacement software, and that the DAM solution should com before the summer of 2018...
The fact was that their limited gallery function come late 2018, and that it has nothing at all to do with DAM, and are nothing close to a Lightroom replacement !!!

So again, before you start writing comments and tell people they have a "Small Child Syndrom", get some knowledge about the cases and issues that the posts are all about... otherwise you just appear stupid!

If you want to learn more about DAM, there's a really comprehensive article on the subject that was just published here: https://filecamp.com/what-is-digital-asset-management/

Keep in mind, if you want something affordable, Filecamp does offer a 30-day free trial, without asking for your cc info. Pretty nifty imo
