Unable to install FLEX

On my MacBook Pro I cannot install FLEX.  Can download the installer but when launched only get the following error message.

                             Oops! We've run into an issue while installing the app.

                             An error occurred in retrieving update information. Please try again later.

Its been 2 days and I get the same error message.  I tried deleting the installer, downloading the zip file, expanding it and launching the installer (several times over 2 days) and always get the same error message.

  Hi Stan, please contact us via https://skylum.com/support and we'll try to find a solution. In the meantime, please try to temporarily disable the antivirus/firewall on your machine and see if it helps.

  same problem here on an iMacPro and Mac OS 10.14.4.  I get the same error every time I try to install this.  I have the same problem firewall on or off.

   

  Was a solution found that could be posted here?
