I think your catalog backup process is broken

    Tony, No doubt, the backup system is broke. Since I started trashing the backup folder after closing Luminar, I no longer experience crashes when launching. And so far, I have not lost any edits. I believe the backup system is the main culprit, though there are other issues probably not related. Anyway, I would like the option to disable backup in preferences.

    Hi,

    as I moved the backup from the catalogue-folder in a separate backup-folder I have no further problems. Now I can also start Luminar by holding the alt/opt key to choose from the automatically stored  backups (before it crashed every time). I see the problem in the backup system.

    Although I have to mention that I lost at least 2 hours of work to figure that out and am a bit frustrated :-(((
