Sony A7II uncompressed RAW versus Compressed - huge performance difference

    @Bartosz I'm curious why you would shoot in uncompressed RAW. I also have A7ii but have found no evidence personally or technically that uncompressed is better than compressed with the exception of the files kill hard drive space faster.

    I'd like to know if you have a different experience?

    In most of cases there is no difference as you mentioned. You will find a difference at low ISO when pushing up exposure in shadows by a LOT (like 4 or 5 stops). There are some quite good articles on that topic on the web. 

    I tend to use it when shooting landscape photos or when I know that I'll have many shadow areas which I'll need to mess with when shooting at around 100 iso.

    After all it's not a huge deal, I completely understand hard disk space argument in that case.
