There's too much to go in depth about any particular topic, but...
WHAT I EXPECTED WHEN BUYING LUMINAR 2018
A photo editing software with photo library features to be released in June 2018 (!) that would be better than Lightroom
WHAT I GOT FINALLY WITH LUMINAR 3
- a library that is very slow, even with the current version 3.0.1; slower than Lightroom in any case
- missing key features such as edit in photoshop (I need this!), merge raws in Aurora (it makes no sense to have purchased both pieces of software without this!)
- question marks about lens correction support
- regular crashes
- most importantly, the core feature, photo editing does not work !!! I can apply my changes to a picture until I'm happy with it; then if I move to another photo and come back to the previous one, I see the low-res version of my edit, as if it was loading, but it never loads at all. Everything is disabled, from edits to zooming. The only way to get the picture "back to life" is to reset adjustments. How useless !!!
Luminar 2018 is still a useful tool in my LR+PS flow, but part of my money went into the promise that things would be more streamlined a few weeks after my purchase, in early 2018. I feel cheated.
