Aurora 2019 wont start.

    Hi Peter,

    When you uninstalled did you also clear the registry? If not, please try the following:

     

    Try reinstalling Aurora HDR 2019. Follow the steps below:

    Uninstall Aurora.

    Clear your registry:

    • Visit https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download?pc
    • Scroll down to the bottom of the table and click Download from CCleaner.com in the first column.
    • Once the download has finished, launch the file and install CCleaner on your computer.
    • Launch CCleaner.
    • Click Registry on the left.
    • Click Scan for Issues in the lower left. Wait for the scan to finish.
    • After the scan has finished, click Fix Selected Issues in the lower right.
    • Close CCleaner.

    Reboot your PC.

    Download the latest version of Aurora from here:

    https://aurorahdr2019win.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com/Aurora2019_Setup.exe

    Once the installer has finished downloading, locate it in your Downloads folder (or wherever you chose to save it), right-click the file, and click Run As Administrator. A prompt might appear asking you whether you wish to confirm your action, click Yes and wait for the installer to load. Then, follow the instructions on screen.

    Installed Aurora HDR 2019 on my Dell Inspiron 3847. Opened program. Splash screen appeared and disappear. Program did not start. Disabled AV, firewall, and all start up applications. Program still did not start. 

    Installed Luminar 3 hot fix and Luminar 3 runs without problems. Does Aurora HDR 2019 have a fatal flaw?

    Suggestions??

    I have been going back and forth with Skylum support. We have tried multiple things without success.
    Once there has been some progress i will post it here to help anyone else with the same issues.

    I finally got both Luminar 3 and Aurora HDR 2019 installed and running in my Dell Inspiron 3847, Windows 10 OS 

    How> I used Windows Fresh Start application. My Dell starts faster and runs faster since I used Fresh Start. If you are having problems running Luminar 3 and Aurora HDR 2019 on a PC with Windows 10 OS I suggest you run Fresh Start. 

    In general, I'm very disappointed with the help provided by Skylum Support. You all missed the Windows 10 Fresh Start application.

    Peter: Windows Fresh Start will clean up your computer. Read the Information provided by Windows. I successfully installed and ran Luminar 3, Aurora HDR 2019 and ON1 Photo RAW 2019. Fresh Start will develop a list of programs to be deleted. All personal folders (Pictures, Documents, Videos, Music, etc.) are saved. In my case, I keep all my personal folders on Google Drive. All my photos are on an external drive and backup on-line. So far, very pleased with the Fresh Start. My PC starts faster and runs faster. I was amazed at all the deleted programs; most I will never re-install. Hope this helps. Dennis
