I second that. Had a couple of instances yesterday where I moved some images into the L3 folders via Finder but they were not picked up until I closed and restarted Luminar.

Agreed for both Mac and Windows....will sometimes require a restart to pick up recently added files to a watched directory.

    Hi,

I would like to add my vote for rescan folder option.

Additionaly I see a bug (?) in my library, where photos are shown at wrong date and wrong exif in the catalog (ie. shown as canon EOS 5D and december 2018 but is actually Sony Xperia Z3 from december 2017). I "repair" included in upcomming rescan feature?

    Thanks.

    Hi Nikolaus,

Please email us at support@skylum.com with one of your 5D files where you're having this issue and we'll investigate. If the file is too large to email you can use WeTransfer - instructions below.

    1. Visit https://wetransfer.com/
    2. If it's your first time visiting this website, it may ask you to purchase a subscription. Simply select to proceed with the free version.
    3. Click Add your files.
    4. Select the file(s) on your computer.
    5. After you see all the files you need to send appear in the list, click the icon to the left of the Transfer button (the icon looks like a circle with three dots in it).
    6. In Send As select Link.
    7. Click Transfer.
    8. After the files have finished uploading, click Copy Link and paste it into your email.

I have crashed 4 times this year with L3. Had to reinstall L3 twice and could never get L3 to re-syn. Spent hour reprocessing 100s of images. I just crashed a week ago with with  jpg file and again, I am unable to get back into L3. Try to open either a RAW file or jpg and L3 starts to open and just as it opens the picture, it crashes, just like to last two times, which means I will not be able to re-syn my library. Does anybody have a work-around?

    Hi Federico,

Does restarting the app help? Which MacOs are you currently running?

We are up to version 3.1.4 on Mac, which includes the Catalina update.

I have version 3.1.4 on Mac and somehow it's becoming very hard to use the Library as it doesn't update the folders.

I then go to the All Photos but it then shows me tons of duplicates. I have 69 photos in a folder and Luminar lists as 408. Each duplicate is actually just the single photo, it is just showing several times in the UI. I've confirmed this by right clicking the photo and ask to show in Finder. All dups point to the same photo in the same location.

Is there a way to force a cache refresh or something similar?

The following is an example of folders that have photos but Luminar shows as 0. I've restarted several times with no luck.

A few screenshots of Luminar showing several duplicates under All Photos, although in the file system I only have one of each photo (69 photos in that folder and Luminar shows 408).

Something strange is happening. Each time I open Luminar it duplicates the amount of photos it thinks there are in folders.

Example below. Opened Luminar, took a screenshot, closed it and reopened and took another screenshot.

I just started with Luminar and the very first thing i stumbled across and missing is 'rescan' of folders.
So my big vote for that, too!

I am having the exact same problem as Joao Jesus described above. Using Luminar 3.

I have tried contacting support (over a week ago) but have had no response.

Is there a fix for this? I had planned to purchase Luminar 4, but not if it has the same bug.

please include it in Luminar 4 soon! having a catalog that is only a snapshot of a certain date is not really useful,

please bring a "rescan" option asap!

The catalog is just missing lots of new images since its creation

If I add new images to the folders they show up so what do you mean by rescan?

Well on my Mac they don't If I add images to the folders over time they do not show up...

Oh so one has to add the images themselves if for example I have a folder named september and I made the catalog halfway the month I have to manually add the new photos myself??

Ok but that is not a cataloguing function, perhaps I am mistaken about that.

I thought that If I add a folder X and after some time I add images to that folder Luminar just doesn't add them automagically I have to do it myself

Hi Philippe, Luminar should definitely add them automatically.

Could you please check whether the issue remains in a new catalog (to create one, go File > Catalog > New)?
If so, please contact us at skylum.com/support regarding the issue.

Well, I uninstalled and reinstalled Luminar 4 and started a new catalog and now it works!

So thanks, just a minor remark, to install Luminar we have to login in a admin account, instead of just giving the admin password when installing like all other apps, please change this so we can install it from a standard account an have to give the admin password when asked for.  It is not good practice to login into the admin account :-)

thanks and I must say the AI system in Luminar is wonderful, the sky replacement is very good.

    keep on the good work!
