It's nice that Luminar 3 creates the "All Photos" shortcut and automatically sorts pictures by date taken, by reading the file's EXIF data.
I like to batch rename my pictures using that same "date and time taken" data. Without due diligence on the user part, it's easy to forget a step in our picture management workflow and end up with a few pictures that don't match our intended workflow. For example, end up with a few pictures that are not renamed, or that are renamed with a time stamp that no longer matches the EXIF or XMP data.
It would be great if Luminar would be intelligent enough to detect inconsistencies between file names and EXIF data, and offer different ways to correct the situation for instance by editing the EXIF data or by changing the file name. It would be awesome if it could also do that in XMP sidecar files.
The idea would be to let users define the "file management pattern" used in the library, then at the click of a button, let Luminar scan the library and "normalize" it, by syncing EXIF, filename and XMP data automatically.
