As many here have found, L3 does not work with a large library of images. However, that doesn't mean that it can't be used productively. The trick is to run it without a library - this YouTube video explains how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxXokR-ayoY
Though this seems to defeat the purpose of the Libraries, it makes L3 very usable on a "project" basis. Just import the whole shoot into Luminar for quick editing - edit away (you can copy paste adjustments between images) then, when you are finished, just export the finished pictures (in bulk) from the L3 library view and delete the shoot from the L3 library.
Clearly, that's not what we all wanted from L3 but, while Skylum fix the problems, it is a very usable option that improves on the 2018 functionality.
