L3 has been installed. As the Library functionality is not where I need it to be, at this time, I will continue to use Bridge as my preferred DAM software. Therefore I intend to use L3 simply as an editor for the foreseeable future.
I tried to perform a "Quick Edit" on a series of bracketed images that were tone mapped in Aurora 19. Firstly the PLUGIN link for Luminar within A19 does not point to L3, therefore to work on an image from A19, one must export (TIFF) and open in L3 separately.
After doing some editing of the TIF in L3, I decided the image was not worth spending any effort on. I used the COMMAND + Q to exit from L3 normally without saving anything. There was no on-screen dialogue to ask "do you want to blah, blah, blah". L3 simply shut down.
Curious, I reopened L3 and behold in the LIBRARY was the edited version (thumbnail??) of the image I DID NOT want to keep.
I was able to right+click on the image and move it to TRASH, however there seems no way to "empty the trash" within L3.
I like a tidy screen and don't want to see a bunch of erroneous images cluttering things up. For those that want to use L3 as an editor only, Will we be able to abandon an image (COMMAND + Q, OR COMMAND + W) without it remaining to be forever embedded in the Library?
