    Hi Glen,

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with the new .auh files. We'll be happy to look into it, but need some info from you. Please send the following to support@skylum.com.

    Your PC Info

    • Press the Windows logo key + R.
    • Type msinfo32 in the dialog box that opens and hit Enter on your keyboard.
    • In the window that opens, make sure you have System Summary highlighted on the left.
    • Click File > Export.
    • Type the name of the file and save it somewhere where you can easily find it

Check if there's anything in the event log

    • Cause the issue to occur.
    • Press the Windows logo key + R.
    • Type eventvwr in the dialog box that opens and hit Enter on your keyboard.
    • In the window that opens click the triangle next to Windows Logs on the left. A directory tree should open.
    • Click Application in the directory tree.
    • In the main part of the window find the two topmost entries marked with Error named Application Error and .NET Runtime.
    • Hold CTRL and click your left mouse button on each entry to select them both.
    • Right-click on any of the two selected entries  and click Save Selected Events.
    • Name the file, save it, and either link to it in your pots, or paste the contents directly.

We would also highly appreciate if you can send us one of the .auh files that is giving you trouble. You can upload the file to www.WeTransfer.com & send us a shared download link to support@skylum.com.

Please specify which steps preceded the crash so that we can reproduce this issue on our side.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Glen,

This is Lawrence. I have been experiencing the same crash problem as yours.  I created a hdr file from 4 raw files and edit it, then save. My Aurora HDR 2019 just keep stop working and crash when it open the "auh"  save file.

I run different tests to duplicate the issue, here are the post I just submitted with more details and my source file:

    https://community.skylum.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360025547191-Help-Aurora-2019-crashed-when-it-open-the-native-HDR-save-file

Please let me know if you have the same problem with my source file, thank you.

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks,

    Lawrence

    Hi

I have the same problem: Aurora crashes each time when I try to open some auh-file (win10). Is there any solution already discovered?

    Hi

I have the same problem: Aurora crashes each time when I try to open some auh-file (win10).

Seems to be a general problem for more than one.

Is there any solution already discovered?

    @Josep Cas

Does this happen with all .auh files or only with a particular one? If you could share the file with us, and let us know how did you create it and what edits you applied, it would help us a lot.

    Hi Denis

I use raw fotos from Nikon (.nef) in Aurora DHR - Windows10

There no problem when I only use 1 photo

but as soon as I put 2 o more photos,  the auh-file is imposible to reopen.

I have some examples to send you but uploads biger than 2MB are not allowed

Try to make a auh-file using 2 raw Nikon files (.nef)

    Make a crop

    Change DHR Clarity

    Change DHR Smart structure

    Save and try to reopen

    Hi Josep,

Here's how you can send us the file:

       Visit https://wetransfer.com/

If it's your first time visiting this website, it might ask you to purchase a subscription. Simply select to proceed with the free version.

       Click Add your files.

Select the file(s) on your computer.

After you see all the files you need to send appear in the list, click the icon to the left of the Transfer button (the icon looks like a circle with three dots in it).

       In Send As select Link.

       Click Transfer.

After the files have finished uploading, click Copy Link and paste it into an email to support@skylum.com and include a link to this forum thread. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

    I sent by wetransfer, 2 auh-files I can't open.

They were made using the 2 nef-files I've sent as well.

In my opinion, the problem is when you make a crop

then you Change DHR Clarity and Change DHR Smart structure.

At that point, when you save the new auh-file, you can't reopen anymore
