Have you tried installing the previous version? That should work 100% of the times.

    Hallo,

I have the same problem. I guess, like many others. The older version still works, but i can't use newer versions of Luminar 2018. Therefore, the use of the older version can only be a temporary solution in my oppinion.

My question is: When will you release a new version that fixes the problem?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Bosse,

Could you please specify what graphics card you have on your computer?

That's how you can check this info or send it to us and we will check it for you:

    • Press the Windows logo key + R.
    • Type msinfo32 in the dialog box that opens and hit Enter on your keyboard.
    • In the window that opens, make sure you have System Summary highlighted on the left.
    • Click File > Export.
    • Type the name of the file and save it somewhere where you can easily find it and attach this text file to your reply to this email.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi. I have also had a problem. I downloaded the fix but it won't initialise. I've sent you a txt file using the instruction above.

Thanks, we'll respond to your email asap. In the meantime, what do you mean by 'won't initialize'? If you're having trouble starting the installer there are a few alternatives we can try. For that I'd recommend moving our conversation over to email, since it would be easier for us to track your case this way.

    Buongiorno Mario,

If you are receiving the “OpenGL 3.3 and later is required for this application to run” error message when launching Luminar 2018, please make sure your machine meets the minimum requirements listed here: https://skylum.com/luminar/user-manual/2018/windows/system-requirements-for-windows-os

If you are not sure whether or not your GPU supports OpenGL 3.3 or above, please refer to its manufacturer's website. If your GPU does support OpenGL 3.3 and above, updating your graphics driver should fix this issue.

    Update Intel Graphics Drivers:

    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24345/Intel-Driver-Support-Assistant

    Automatically update AMD Graphics Drivers:

    https://support.amd.com/en-us/download

    Automatically update NVIDIA Graphics Drivers:

    http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

After you have updated your GPU drivers from the manufacturer’s website, make sure you set your discrete adapter to run Luminar 2018 by default (usually this concerns laptops). Refer to your graphics card's manufacturer's website if you need help with that.

If your computer is 5 or more years old, there is a possibility that your GPU does not support OpenGL 3.3.

If none of the steps above helped, please do the following:

    • Press the Windows logo key + R.
    • Type msinfo32 in the dialog box that opens and hit Enter on your keyboard.
    • In the window that opens, make sure you have System Summary highlighted on the left.
    • Click File > Export.
    • Type the name of the file and save it somewhere where you can easily find it and send this file to support@skylum.com

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Sorry guys I am not savvy as some of you. The last line says Type the name of the file? Name of which file are we talking about. Your instructions are not clear to me. Please help.

    Hi Shailesh,

That line of the instructions is referring to saving the file created when you go to File > Export. In this step you are saving the msinfo32 file with a file name that makes sense to you and in a location you can easily find and email to us at support@skylum.com.
