RAW files opening

I want to open RAW files downloaded from an SD card to Photos on a MacBook Pro.  When I try to open the RAW files in Luminar 2018, they are converted to jpeg.  Suggestions?

  To open your images as RAWs from Photos do the following:

  • launch Photos
  • open an image you wish to edit
  • enter Photos' edit mode
  • invoke Luminar as an extension
  • you should get a RAW in Luminar
