Reading the posts in this community lets me believe, that I am not alone with my problems with the catalogue function! Each update on macOS adds another picture in the catalogue and its not easy to distinguish, which ones I can delete and which ones I can not.
I did not want to complain in this thread (there is another one where I do ;-)). I am asking for help on work arounds: Currently I try to get away from the use of the Luminar catalogue for obvious reasons. I am using Adobe Bridge for keeping my pictures (which has some other annoying functions) - and I just use Luminar to modify the pictures and export them into JPEG and/or store them on my 500px account.
However, if I just want to make small adjustments I have either the chance to look for the right copy of the picture in the catalogue or - if I removed the folder from the catalogue - I need to start from scratch.
Is there a way to remove a folder from the catalogue but keep all the modifications saved? Do I have a chance to save images with all the single steps of modifications in whatever format? I can use an external picture data base program if Skylum is not able to support my needs accordingly, but I would like to having a way to store my intermediate steps to a final result.
I like the way the program works and how it supports me, modifying the pictures I shoot. But at the moment I am pretty desperate - and I would hate to going away for another solution.
