There remains the issue problem of deleting photos forever out of the trashcan. They do not appear in any other folders, which is good; however, they still appear in the trashcan. When asked if I want to erase item(s) in the trash, the item(s)will be moved to the "SYSTEM" Trash. It states that one can't undo this action. However, going ahead deleting the item(s), it states the they don't exist. It seems that the item(s) I deleted are gone, but the samples of the photos still appear in the trashcan. There needs to be an update of Luminar AI dealing with this constant issue.

    Hi,

Here's how you can contact support:

To contact support, please, visit this link https://skylum.com/support, scroll down the page and fill out this form; see the screenshot: https://prnt.sc/vdair1.
Afterward, scroll down and press Click here, type your message, and press Contact Skylum, see the screenshot: https://prnt.sc/vdak6e.

You can also email us directly at support@skylum.com

As for the trash folder, it works only with physical files, i.e., those that exist on your drive. Since the duplicates exist only on the catalog level (i.e., they aren't duplicated on your drive), they aren't removed from Trash.

So far, we were able to determine one of the reasons for such behavior; however, there could be more. It appears that the duplicates can appear in the catalogs created before a major Big Sur macOS update in folders that were renamed within Luminar. This has been reported to our techs, and they're looking for a solution.

If, in your case, there was something else that preceded this issue, it would help if you could share more details at https://skylum.com/support or support@skylum.com

For now, a temporary workaround to get rid of duplicates would be by creating a new catalog via File > Catalog> New and re-adding the images there.
