Pop up won't go away
CompletedI am getting a popup for a Valentines Day special and it will not go away nor allow me to even use the software. Clicking the "Don't show me this news screen anymore" takes me to my profile where I have selected not to receive any notices. Selecting "Choose what you love" takes me to sale page. Neither will send the notice away, so right now I have software that doesn't work.

Hi Mike Dembski,
Let's try reinstalling Luminar. No worries, it won't influence your catalog and its edits.
We recommend doing a full uninstall with AppCleaner. AppCleaner is a free app that automatically removes not only applications but also the related files, making 'clean' uninstall easy.
- Download AppCleaner from here (click this text to open link).
- Install AppCleaner and start it.
- Drag Luminar from your Applications folder into the AppCleaner window. When removing Luminar, mark all the files and folders on the list, except for RTW788AXG3.com.skylum.luminar4
- Once you've uninstalled Luminar, restart your Mac and download a fresh version of Luminar following this link:
https://downloads.skylum.com/luminar4/installer/mac/Luminar4Installer.zip
Here is the video tutorial that may also be helpful: https://www.loom.com/share/a90db317a56545e9a1d7f1d239e3a8e6
Then, try clicking on "Don't show me this news screen anymore" if the windows pops up again.
Let me know how it goes now.

Hi Ed Kruger,
Have you tried the steps my colleague has suggested?

Is it a serious suggestion to delete the entire program and reinstall because of a pop up that won't go away?
The 'it won't influence your catalog or its edits' just adds oil to the fire for me due to another recurring problem.
I've got a valentines pop up that won't go away plus my folders (which I haven't done anything to) are greyed out again with exclamation marks beside them. This has happened at least 3 times over.
There will be some (& I'm fast approaching being one of them) who will take the advice about uninstalling but not the rest of it.

Hi Gary,
Have you tried to click on the red dot to close the deal? See the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/zphl12
Once it's done, please restart the app.
The screen shouldn't reappear if you've unchecked the corresponding boxes in your Skylum account.
If it still pops up, please contact us at https://skylum.com/support. That's not an expected behavior and thus it needs to be investigated. As for the exclamation marks - are you using Big Sur?
The thing is that we've discovered that the connection with the image folders can be lost after the Big Sur updates which introduce new security settings. Our team is investigating what can be done to prevent such situations right now, and once they come up with the solution, they will make sure to roll it out.
Still, one should be able to reconnect the folders/edits manually. You might as well postpone new BigSur updates for some time while we're looking for a fix. The files shouldn't be lost then (unless they are relocated / their names are changed while Luminar is closed).
How the folders can be reconnected:
1. Go to the Catalog tab (in the top-bar menu)
2. Right-click the missing folder;
3. Choose Locate Folder from the drop-down menu: http://prntscr.com/w7a408
4. Find and point to the missing folder.
If there's a lost edits shortcut: https://manual.skylum.com/ai/en/topic/reconnecting-lost-edits

I've followed your advice and it got rid of the Valentines pop up.
As it has happened so regularly, I easily deleted and reconnected all my folders. Today, I installed a Mac OS update.
Deja vu all over again - exclamation mark on all folders and they can't be found. Skylum really needs to concentrate on sorting this out and concentrate a little less on marketing and irritating pop ups
